This lesson covers the very basics of guitar including, types of guitars, parts of the guitar, how to tune the guitar. We also learn some basic theory that is important for learning the rest of the lessons.

Learn the notes E, F, and G on the first string and first position on the  guitar. Learn sight reading and proper technique with various exercises.

Lesson 2 (12:06 min)

Learn the notes B, C and D on the second string of the guitar. Learn how to play songs using both strings with various exercises. Continue learning to sight read.

Lesson 3 (15:07 min)

Learn the notes G and A on the third string. Combine notes from all three strings for various exercises. Learn to play a duet. Learn about 3⁄4 time. Continue learning to sight read.

Lesson 4 (15:11 min)

Learn to play 3 string chords combined with notes from the first three strings. Learn proper technique with various exercises. Continue learning to sight read.

Learn the notes D, E, and F on the fourth string. Learn about pick up notes. Play various exercises including blues progressions with three note chords and the D7 chord. Continue learning to sight read.
